Your privacy.

Effective October 16, 2026. This notice covers hoar.haus, music submissions and inquiries sent to Hoar Haus Records.

What you provide and why

When you email us, we receive your email address and the name, message, music links and other information you choose to include. We use it to review your work, respond to your inquiry and discuss requested opportunities. Email sent to john@hoar.haus is handled through Microsoft 365. Please send listening links instead of large attachments.

Who handles information

Framer hosts the website and Microsoft 365 handles email. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Google receives information through the optional analytics and YouTube features described below. We may also disclose information when legally required or needed to protect legal rights and address fraud or security incidents.

Video, music and charity links

YouTube thumbnail images load from Google when the page displays them, so Google receives technical connection information before you press Play. The video player loads only when selected and uses YouTube Privacy Enhanced Mode; this does not prevent all data processing. Google may receive playback, device and network information. SoundCloud and charity donation links open those organizations’ services, where their own notices and choices apply. Donations are handled on the charity’s website, not collected through this site.

Our own marketing

We may use the contact information you give us to email you about our own services, products, releases or events. We do not sell your personal information. You can stop marketing emails by using the unsubscribe method in a message, replying to it, or contacting us below. We honor email opt outs within 10 business days. Necessary replies and service messages may continue. Your analytics choice is separate from email preferences. This notice is not consent to receive marketing texts or calls.

Google Analytics and your choice

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It uses cookies and receives technical and usage information, including cookie identifiers, browser and device details, approximate location, page visits and contact actions. Google processes IP addresses to provide the service and derive approximate location. Our tracking events exclude inquiry text and contact details, and remove page query strings. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our website tag. You can decline or withdraw permission using Analytics choices. Declining does not prevent you from contacting us.

Browser privacy signals and storage

When your browser sends Global Privacy Control or an enabled Do Not Track signal, our website keeps Google Analytics off, overrides any earlier analytics permission and clears its analytics cookies where accessible. This applies to the browser you use. It does not unsubscribe you from email or control services you visit through external links. We store your analytics choice in your browser for up to 180 days. Google Analytics cookies have their own lifetimes, which your browser settings may limit. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser.

Framer statistics and other providers

Framer provides website hosting, delivery, security and its own visitor statistics. These statistics operate separately from our optional Google Analytics and do not use analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Framer processes technical data such as IP address and browser information using identifiers that change daily. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. When third party services load or you follow external links, those providers may collect information about your online activity over time and across other websites. Their own notices and settings explain those practices.

How long we keep information

We retain inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request, maintain an ongoing relationship or meet applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations. The period depends on the information, the request and any service agreement or dispute. Marketing contact information is used until you opt out or it is no longer needed; we may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your choice. Website analytics, technical logs and backup copies follow separate provider retention and deletion settings. Contact us for information about a particular record or to request deletion.

Your privacy requests

Contact us below to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, or a stop to marketing use. Please identify your relationship with us and what you want us to do, without sending sensitive documents. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority. We will explain any information we must retain and respond under the law that applies to your request. California and other state laws may provide additional rights, including rights to know, limit certain sensitive uses, and opt out of sale or sharing for advertising where those laws apply. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Sensitive information and children

Please do not send patient records, medical details, government identifiers, passwords, payment card information or personal information about children through a public inquiry. This website is intended for a general audience, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this notice

We will post revisions on this page and update the effective date. If a change requires additional notice or permission, we will provide it before applying the change as required by law.
